Cytokinetics

Imola K Fodor joined Cytokinetics as the VP of Biometrics in May 2025. Imola is a past president of the Bay Area Biotech-Pharma Statistics Workshop and a member of the Advisory Council for the Department of Statistics at the University of California at Berkeley.

Imola’s biopharmaceutical experience spans research through manufacturing, and early- to late-stage clinical development. Before joining Cytokinetics, Imola spent eighteen years at Genentech (a member of the Roche group since 2009). She started at Genentech in 2007, as a Senior Statistical Scientist in the Nonclinical Statistics group and subsequently held several positions of increasing responsibility, including Biostatistics Deputy Global Head of the Breast & Gynecological Cancer Franchise, Biostatistics Global Head of Early Development Oncology & Hematology, Vice President of the Late Stage Hematology Data & Statistical Science group, and Vice President of the Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism Data & Statistical Science group in Product Development.

Prior to her tenure at Genentech, Imola was a computational scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where she collaborated with astronomers, climate scientists, biologists, and computer scientists to obtain insights from large and complex datasets using statistical methods, machine learning, and high-performance computing.

Imola holds a PhD in statistics from the University of California at Berkeley.
