Christina Rabe

Christina Rabe, PhD, is Executive Director and Therapeutic Area Head of Biostatistics for Ophthalmology at Genentech. With more than 15 years of industry experience, she has worked across diagnostics, biomarkers, and therapeutics, with particular expertise in ophthalmology and Alzheimer’s disease. Her work focuses on developing and evaluating prediction models and applying them in clinical trials. Before leading Genentech’s late-stage ophthalmology portfolio, Christina headed a translational and exploratory biostatistics team. Earlier, she spent eight years at Roche Diagnostics in Germany. She holds an MSc in Statistics and a doctorate from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen.

Fabian Model

Fabian Model, PhD, is Vice President of Biometrics at Denali Therapeutics. He leads the Biometrics function at Denali Therapeutics, overseeing statisticians, programmers, and data scientists responsible for the design and analysis of clinical trials and biomarker studies. He brings 20 years of leadership experience in biostatistics and data science, supported by a background in both statistics and computer science. Before joining Denali, Fabian served as Director of Biostatistics for Neuroscience at Roche, supporting late-stage development in Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and rare neurological conditions. He has also led work in diagnostics and companion diagnostics. Fabian earned his MSc and PhD from the Technical University of Berlin.

Patrick Loerch

Patrick Loerch, PhD, is Senior Vice President of Clinical Data Science at Gilead. He leads an integrated organization spanning biostatistics, statistical programming, real-world evidence, artificial intelligence, clinical pharmacology, and development systems. Across more than 20 years in pharmaceutical research and development, Patrick has worked at the intersection of data science, genomics, technology, and evidence generation. Before joining Gilead in 2020, he held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, Celgene, and Merck. He earned a PhD in Biostatistics from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Washington State University.
